I helped this merchant out (paperwork, contacts etc.) when he was tryng to build his store. As an appreciation gift, he wants to give me a pave set diamond band that fits my pinkie. In addition, he is giving my boyfriend a DEEP discount on an engagement ring for me. My boyfriend is FURIOUS about the other ring. Am I wrong to take it?

September 2nd, 2010hi, I know this is a long shot, but my boyfriend and I went to look at rings, and I found one I like at JB Robinson. it is a very tiny band with pave diamonds halfway down the band. but the cool thing about it is when you tip the ring and look at the sides of the band, there is a really cool see through curly-q type of design. The ring is not exactly what I want, but I love that design, and they wouldn't let me take a picture of it in the store b/c my boyfriend wants to get the ring made... does anybody have this ring or can find it online? I've looked everywhere and can't find it

September 2nd, 2010Yes, another one. I thought I was set on moissanite and I love the ring, but I am weighing my options. I do like that the white sapphire is a natural gemstone. The white sapphire ring is as much as the moissanite set, and the white sapphire set(ering and band) is out of the budget.

What to wear to wedding?
September 2nd, 2010I'm 19, my boyfriend's (he’s 21, been with him for almost a year & ½ - totally in love) sister is getting married next weekend...I have a chic, black, sweetheart style, strapless, A-line dress that I'm going to wear with black stilettos. It looks good but it’s kind of plain. SO I bought some faux pearl necklaces to layer, a couple small pearl bracelets, a medium size faux, antique like, diamond-y ring, and some faux diamond stud earrings....It all looks really cool....I'm just really afraid that it will be TOO over the top...I mean, it's a pretty "fancy" wedding I guess, but its not Prom or anything...What do you think??
I'm pretty close with the family - but I'll be meeting ALOT of out of town relatives and friends who I want to make a good impression on! HELP!

Old Vintage/Antique ring question? (Mostly about the metal used in it)?
September 1st, 2010While cleaning out my grams apartment, I found a ring, that was hidden in a jewelry box in paper.(She was put into a nursing home, and I'm supposed to get all her old jewelry) I was given the box no one knowing what was in it. The metal on it though was tarnished severly. The picture is almost an exact match. The only thing is the band was almost black in color and tarnished. Can white gold tarnish that bad if it is not taken care of for years? (All her other wedding bands are white gold...with the exception of one that is yellow gold). The actual band was in excellent shape, it was just black...has anyone seen sever tarnishing in a ring probalby bought in the 30's and never really taken care of? (No one really knows exactly how long it was in the jewelry box to begin with).

August 31st, 2010I am getting a beautiful cocktail ring in diamond and platinum and wish to wear it often. I would like my engagement/wedding band reset in platinum to match when needed and would like to know a round approximation before I get my first estimate. Anyone have any ideas?
My wife has worn a platinum wedding ring for 4 years. She is getting a red rash now. Do we get a new ring???
August 30th, 2010It is a red rash only on her ring finger. The skin looks a little flakey too. It gets better after she takes it off and basically disappears. We sent it off to be professionally cleaned, buffed, etc., hoping that maybe it was just something on the ring that could be cleaned off. This is the only ring she wears. Will switching to a white gold ring alleviate the rash/irritation or will she have to go without any ring?
