can a ring with a slight curve have a matching straight band? Can you miss-match wedding ring with band?

I'm having a heck of a time finding a band for my curved pave ring. Does a wedding ring have to have a similar pattern on the band? Does a curved ring have to have a curved band or can a straight band match?

    mine do not match, but I love them together! I liked it not matching because it was differnt & I knew no one else had the same one.
