My wife really likes the ring but i wanted to know if it would be a good ring and that it would hold up for a loooong time.

I personally would never buy a ring that is not solid gold. Especially if you want something that will last for a long time. The coating of gold that’s on the outside will eventually crack and peel off. I would rather have a smaller diamond, but mounted on a solid gold band. The quality of the band is important. Solid gold will last a lifetime.
