I am from a well off family, and I got engaged to get married to a girl from Puygarrig. She is pretty, everybody here and at Perpignan considers her charming. The best thing about her is that she’s very rich. Her aunt at Prades left her all her property. I shall be very happy.
My mother gave me an ancient ring, very beautiful, a family heirloom, and I added some diamonds to it, which cost me cool twelve thousands, and I intended it for my future wife.
My father likes antiques. Recently, he found a bronze statue of Venus on our land. My father is obsessed with it. It’s certainly dates from Romans. It’s made from copper, and represents the most beautiful woman, with the face somewhat cruel, but lovely. My father put her near the tennis court. Tennis is my passion, and I am a very good player.
On the morning of my wedding, there was a game of tennis on the court: Spanish muleteers against locals. I was all dressed to go, in my wedding gear, and stood watching. Muleteers won, and I decided to play too, to uphold the honour of the province. I wore that twelve thousands ring on my finger, and I couldn’t play properly with it on. So, I put it on the Venus’ finger, and won the game. Then I was in a hurry to go to the wedding, and forgot the ring. I had to give my wife a simple golden ring when we exchanged vows. I thought that I would give her the nice one when we got home. But when we did, I couldn’t pull it off Venus’ finger! She closed her hand and bent her finger! It’s true, but I am afraid to talk about it, in case people decide that I am delusional. In short, I am "married" to that statue and I can’t get the ring off, what should I do?

I got married and came home from my honeymoon and when I was unpacking I noticed that my car keys were missing along with diamond ring my grandmother gave me . I asked my husband to look through all his things to see if they were missing and he was missing a rolex and 2 other antique watches. so we called the police and reported it. meanwhile we are going through a nasty custody battle and a friend of my hubby’s said that his ex had pictures of the inside of our home. so we have reason to believe she broke in we filed the report a week and a half ago and an investigator still hasn’t come to investigate like they said he would. what is the next step for us to take and if convicted ( we are thinking she may bring the pictures to court {custody} because I had a lot of wedding and bridal shower gifts laying around she called dCPS claiming our home was "dirty" and the lady said the whole report was rediclous and wouldn’t be carried out) what consequences can be rendered for breaking&enter
I’m not at all concerned about the condition of my home, I have a cleaning lady that comes every week, and no she never lived in the home with my husband. I’m not concerned about the pictures I’m more concerned about the ,000 rolex and the ring that my grandmother gave me. she died last November. I’m also very uneasy that there was someone inside my home with my things and I was not there and as a result I’ve lost something I can never replace. Finally, It also bothers me that the keys to my new home that we are remodeling, my store, and my parents home among many other keys that were very important are missing.

Two ceremonies; do I surprise him with a second ring?

We’re having a civil ceremony in a week and a half. Because I was really broke then, he paid for both of our rings. I told him I didn’t want a fancy solitaire, just an eternity band as an engagement ring(I was kind of fibbing. I know his finances are limited, too.). I LOVE the band he got me, and he loves his. I’m going to have either inexpensive gemstones or cz’s set in it, to make it match my band, and replace the stones with higher quality ones in the future. We can use it as the wedding ring during the formal ceremony.
Should I buy him another ring too, maybe engrave it with his personal motto, and present it to him as his wedding gift before the formal ceremony(I already got him a gift for the first one)? I’m still broke, but I kind of want to separate our formal vows from our civil, and surprise him a little.

Unique white gold wedding band?

I’m having trouble finding a unique women’s white gold wedding band. I’d like something that has an antique style or something with an etched design (maybe floral, with vines, or along those lines, but not celtic). Probably nothing with any diamonds or gemstones. It’s got to be completely round, not one that will fit around the engagement ring, because I’ll only be wearing the band to work once we get married. I’m hoping for under 0, but am willing to go a little higher because it is a once in a lifetime thing! Any ideas? Thanks!

Do wedding rings have to match?

My boyfriend and I were at a jewlery store today and he found a titanium wedding band he really loved, he’s in the military so he needs the toughest of rings. His ring was very masculine and I wouldn’t want mine to match it. I want a thin white gold band with diamonds all around and a large antique cushion cut pink sapphire engagement ring. Is it proper ettiquite today for couples wedding rings to be the same? Or would we be ok getting what we each want?

Everyone in my family has a six prong Tiffany setting engagement ring and a plain band wedding ring. My fiance and I want to look for something that is antique,preferably Edwardian or Art deco. I love filigree and things that are simply interesting. I think it will be difficult to find a matching band. Do you think it is okay to just have one ring? Finding the perfect ring is like finding a needle in a haystack. My mom wants him to go out and buy a ring now, but I told her, round diamonds and Tiffany settings are aren’t a dime a dozen, but we are not running out of stock, so we are going to look.

What do you think, Engagement and wedding ring or just one ring?

I recently after 4 years of marriage, replaced my wedding wrap (solitare enhancer) and my engagment ring with a Antique leaf design, filigree and milgrain worth 00 and .30 carats, yet I have a solitare 1.25 ct., I don’t wear a typical wedding band as the jeweler use to always ask if I wanted the rings combined, sautered together. I am just asking because a few of my girlfriends commented on why aren’t you wearing your wedding band? I said because I am using this one as such. How many women (husbands/family and friends can answer for the wives as well) still wear you engagment ring or what is your moral of it all?

I’m 19, my boyfriend’s (he’s 21, been with him for almost a year & ½ – totally in love) sister is getting married next weekend…I have a chic, black, sweetheart style, strapless, A-line dress that I’m going to wear with black stilettos. It looks good but it’s kind of plain. SO I bought some faux pearl necklaces to layer, a couple small pearl bracelets, a medium size faux, antique like, diamond-y ring, and some faux diamond stud earrings….It all looks really cool….I’m just really afraid that it will be TOO over the top…I mean, it’s a pretty "fancy" wedding I guess, but its not Prom or anything…What do you think??

I’m pretty close with the family – but I’ll be meeting ALOT of out of town relatives and friends who I want to make a good impression on! HELP!
Oh yeah, and the wedding is at like 6:00pm…
The dress lenght is like 1 1/2 or 2 inches below my knee…
