I gave him the diamond from my old wedding set (1st marriage). Tacky, I know. He bought a pave diamond band for 50.
I broke off the engagement after catching him in several lies; one lie was about doing drugs behind my back. He did XTC and slept in a bed with a his best friend's girlfriend!! He says nothing happened but she accused him of touching her while she slept.
We both agree that I'm keeping the diamond. Should I give the band back?

She is a wonderful woman who would accept anything I gave her. I just want her to have one that can hold its own with her peers. I know it’s not about competition, but I sincerely believe that she is better than her peers and I want the ring to reflect that.

Hi, I just got engaged yesterday and my ring has pave style diamonds all the way around the band. It’s pretty rough feeling (but gorgeous) and is rubbing against the sides of my middle and pinkie fingers. Any ideas? I thought about putting some vaseline on the sides, but maybe I should allow callouses to form and I’m not sure I want to get my ring all greasy. Thank you!
I am looking at an engagement ring style that has a center stone with pave set diamonds on all three sides and all the way around, or 2/3 way around.
I am concerned about the durability of this type of setting. Realistically, how often would I need to have the ring repaired- on average?
I am looking at a diamond pave wedding set at a jewelry store. The underside of the bands don’t have any slots so you can clean the back side of the diamonds its just solid gold. Would it be a mistake to buy this ring? Will i be able to clean it just from the top and sides or is it going to look dirty all the time?
I'd like to know from people who have either bought or investigated engagement rings and prices, if you think we got a good price for mine. My ring is a princess cut, on a white gold cathedral setting, with pave diamonds on all 4 sides. The center stone is .73 ct. I color, I1, (it's a fairly good I1) and the diamonds on the ring are .5 ct. The diamond is about 00, and the ring about 00. The total price is around 00.

I’d like to get some feedback on pave designed rings. I love the look, but am worried about the durability. I heard that the stones fall out constantly. If you own a pave ring, how many times have you had to repair it?

…specifically, a large engagement diamond ring in the center, then small pave emeralds on the side (or vice versa if that's more common).
