I’m wondering what will stand the test of time better. The platinum ones I’ve seen are pricey, but maybe they’re worth it. I also want to get the ring engraved. What about white gold, titanium, or silver? Which do you think is best?

I’m getting married in Dec. I am a designer & would like to make the rings by myself. This is the story: 2 years ago I suffered a terrible accident in Tokyo, where I live now. My girlfriend support me during 3 long months at hospitals & also took charge of stressing legal issues. Last year doctors removed from my leg 6 titanium screws and 1 plate. These things strenghten my leg and helped me to go back to almost normal life. They were part of me and I feel really grateful & attached to them, so I would like to preserve them transforming them into our wedding rings.

Do your know where can I get info about a method for making the rings manually? I’m pursuing a PhD in design, so have access to univ. workshop & tools. In case is too difficult or takes too much time I’m also considering the options of doing the design myself & ask somebody to make it; or getting the whole package done.

I will trully appreciate any suggestion for this engaged guy with limited cash. Thank you!

My engagement ring is titanium with a peridot tension set, and my wedding band is titanium. I wear them always and soap them in the shower, but I’d like to know how to clean them better. What can I use on the titanium that also won’t scratch or harm the stone? Thanks!
Btw, I have searched online and have found tips for cleaning titanium alone, but nothing on how to clean the peridot. I don’t want to scratch or dull the stone…

Is titanium a good metal for an engagement/wedding ring? What are the pros and cons of having a titanium ring? How hard is it to keep them clean and polished? Also could I have a diamond placed in a titanium band? Kind of like having a traditional engagement ring just made out of titanium, is that possible? Thanks for your time and help.

I’ve developed an allergy to the small amount of nickel in my platinum wedding ring, and I’m wondering if a titanium ring would cause the same reaction.

What do you think is the best metal for a mens wedding ring/band? Gold, white or yellow, platinum, titanium or tungsten.
Also, i was wondering is a tungsten band just cheaper than all the rest of them? Because i rarely hear of it

I am in the process of reseraching rings to buy for my future husband. Can anyone tell me what the difference between a brushed and stone finish is? Is the stone finish actually rough to to the touch, rather than smooth like the brushed? Thank you!
