And how much should you have your man spend on it without going overboard?

My fiance and I picked out style. It comes in platinum, gold and titanium. Platinum is too expensive. I like the white gold. He prefers titanium because it is 15% the cost of white gold. I want something strong that will last our lifetime. Any opinions?

My soon to be hubby works out side with metal and Al. all day long. And I have heard that Titanium is a better ring as far as in not getting scratched and bent..and that it is better than Gold? is this true.. witch would you choose?

i need to get my husband a new wedding ring. The only rings ive got for him are those cheap sterling silver ones but 2 months later they start wearing down get scratched and turn greenish… If i get him a titanium one will it hold up with his work? he is constantly banging his hands everywhere…he works with construction

I was under the assumption that I would have gotten him a white gold band that looked good with my set. I have been online looking at rings before going into the store, and the majority of the rings are triton tungsten and titanium. A lot of them are nice, but since it’s not gold like my set, I kind of feel cheap, like I got this extravigant white gold set and he gets this cheap band (even though they really aren’t that cheap).
Is it normal for guys to get triton tungsten and titanium wedding bands? That’s what all the best looking seem to be made of.
Very good idea about taking him to pick out his own…I agree, wouldn’t want him to not like his ring.
It’s not as much wondering if it would be cheap of me to get him one, but more wondering when the switch from gold to titanium and tungsten was? I had never noticed it before.

Are we being taken for a ride here? We went to look at wedding bands for my fiance tonight and he found a titanium wedding band that has both a matte and brushed finish (although the brushed finish had a slightly sparkly appearance – not like a typical brushed look) and it was over 0.00.

This is a small mom and pop jeweler in town and we’ve already purchased my engagement and wedding band from them (and fiance got a really good price on my rings), but we’re curious about why this ring might have come with such a high price tag. The (clueless) salesperson answered that question by saying that it’s because that ring was being discontinued and it had a "comfort band." Neither of these really explain the high price of this ring to us.

We hopped online and couldn’t find anything to compare to this price. Even titanium rings with diamonds were cheaper.

A side note: fiance and I were originally looking for a tungsten with carbide ring and the salesperson said, "This one is titanium. But tungsten… titanium… basically the same thing."

Any advice?

the only cheap rings ive seen are like titanuim sterling silver and others but i dont know if they are good medals or if the will rust or make your finger turn green? i really want white gold wedding band for me and my husband were can i find the set for bride and groom cheap from0-0

what are the differences other then price but i suppose what i am asking is, is gold better? or is it just because everyone desires it?
