i’m looking for a white gold engagement ring that is a bit different, not just a traditional diamond. i do like diamonds, but want something that looks a bit unusual, stands out a bit, if that makes sense. any ideas, sites etc. im in uk. thank you

I have a white gold engagement ring, and to be special I thought I’d get a plain band from Tiffany’s–in stainless steel. Can stainless steel be worn with white gold or will there be a difference in the color or texture? I’m not planning on getting them soldered together, but I don’t want it to be noticeable that they are different metals. Does anyone have experience in this subject?

I really prefer silver and white gold jewelry so I would like my engagement ring to be one of those but I like the traditional look of a gold wedding band so would those two go together decently?

I was given a 14k white gold engagement ring 3 weeks ago. It looks as if it were burned on one side. It has somehow gotten tarnished. I’m not sure what happened. The only thing I can possibly think of was that I cleaned the bathroom with bleach a couple of weeks ago. Could this have caused it? What can be done to get it off? It won’t wipe away or even scratch off.
It was bought from a jeweler in the mall and is stamped 14K Y.TR .70.

I know…I know…blast me for buying online if you will, but I just wondered if ANYONE ELSE of the female persuasion has faced this issue and is wearing a tungsten band (I wanted Tungsten because my will-be fiance uses heavy machinery all day) with their engagement ring.
I want a fake diamond because of "conflict diamonds" (spread the word fellas, that’ll save ya thousands!!) and hope he picks one with a white gold setting…which leads me to wonder if there are even decent "lab created" stones…but that’s a separate question I suppose.
