I have a white gold wedding ring with no stones. I have a job where i bang my hands alot. Is there a product I can put over the ring which will keep it safer. Such as, a some sort of covering or casing?

Sometimes people should just keep their mouths shut. There is a product, which makes you wrong, putting it in a pocket would cause more damage than good. I had my new wedding ring sized, when I received it back, it was yellow in several areas. I asked the jeweler of whom we purchased it from (Moraga Jeweler and Cell) if he could coat the ring to bring back the color. He told me that he does not coat rings and this would happen in little time with wear. Since I have owned several pieces of jewelry that are white gold (and this has never happened) I questioned him. He did not offer a solution except to say that it can depend on the quality of the gold. For a thin band, size 51/2 we paid USD 0.00. I question the ethics and the quality of the gold.
Can anyone comment on this and provide me with some insight with regard to the answers I have been provided?

A diamond fell out on my wedding ring, and I took it to a jeweler to have it fixed. They put it back in and replaced two of the prongs. A few weeks later the prongs turned black and one even fell off. I took it back and they said it could happen from the solder. Is this usually how they fix rings? Are there any other ways to fix prongs besides solder? Thanks

I have a white gold wedding set. Just before I got married I noticed my engagement ring was starting to turn yellow on the inside. I got it rhodium plated a week before the wedding. It’s been 2 months and my engagement ring has turned yellow again, but I am having no problems with my wedding band. They are both 18k white gold, both purchased from Birks Jewellers. Why am I only having problems with my engagement ring but not my wedding band? Is there any way to prevent this? I just rhodium plated it…it seems too soon to be changing.

My dad has a yellow gold ring that was his wedding band, for Christmas my mom gave him a new wedding band… I would like to use his old wedding band for either my engagement or wedding band, but I would prefer it to be white gold instead of yellow… is that possible?

My husband has said that he would like to get me a new wedding band for our 10 year anniversary but I really like the ring that I have….although it is gold and I really like white gold or plat. I would like to keep wearing my original ring. Does anyone know if it is possible to have this ring dipped in either white gold or plat??? That way it will be something "new" but also something very dear to my heart…
