i have only worn it since september, (18 ct white gold with diamonds) and already its gone gold, now it doesn't match my engagement ring ( 14 ct white gold ) any ideas ?

or what should I use a a promise ring? I dont want the cheap crappy ones online i want something from like james-allen or something....... thanks so much! (oh and under 0 each and they need to be matching and look good on a guy and girl)

I had a ring custom made by a husband of a good friend, and I asked for platinum. I got the rings todtay, and compared to my engagement ring, they look much more yellow, so I'm afraid they're not platinum! I am so embarassed because I made a big deal about asking him to do this for me, and I don't know if he did it wrong -- I'm too afraid to call and ask.

So I thought maybe I'd ask the opinion of others before I call -- what do YOU think is best (i.e. if it turns out its not platinum ... which it probably isn't cause he charged me 0 ... should I just keep it and give it to him anyway? It won't match my rings then, but maybe its better for a guy NOT to have platinum?)

My engagment ring is 14ct and while wedding ring shopping i've fallen in love with an 18ct white gold band, but some jewellers have told me to match the carat so one ring does not 'wear' the other while other jewellers say that it does not matter... i'd love to know what you think about this -- does your wedding and engagement rings match in quality??? thankyou

A diamond fell out on my wedding ring, and I took it to a jeweler to have it fixed. They put it back in and replaced two of the prongs. A few weeks later the prongs turned black and one even fell off. I took it back and they said it could happen from the solder. Is this usually how they fix rings? Are there any other ways to fix prongs besides solder? Thanks
