I have already purchased a white gold band for my husband’s wedding band. I have a small gold band that I’d like to melt down to line the inside of the white gold band. Anyone know if this can be done?
Not planning on doing it myself. Should have worded this better. Is this something I could have done by a jeweler?

I have my mother’s eternity ring given to her by my late father. As I am expecting our first child, I would like to wear this ring but have it plated in white gold as my engagement and wedding rings are white gold also.

Any ideas?

I had a ring custom made by a husband of a good friend, and I asked for platinum. I got the rings todtay, and compared to my engagement ring, they look much more yellow, so I'm afraid they're not platinum! I am so embarassed because I made a big deal about asking him to do this for me, and I don't know if he did it wrong — I'm too afraid to call and ask.

So I thought maybe I'd ask the opinion of others before I call — what do YOU think is best (i.e. if it turns out its not platinum … which it probably isn't cause he charged me 0 … should I just keep it and give it to him anyway? It won't match my rings then, but maybe its better for a guy NOT to have platinum?)

White gold or yellow gold?
I really love white gold and I look pretty good with it no matter what my skin tone is at the time, but during the summer when I am tan, yellow gold looks amazing on me.
And alot of my jewelry is yellow gold. Should your other jewelry match your wedding ring? Like if your ring is one color, should the rest of your jewelry match that same color???

My husband has said that he would like to get me a new band for our 10 year anniversary, but I really like the band that I have. My original wedding ring is 14kt gold….is it possible to have this ring dipped in white gold or plat? That way, it is something "new" and it does mark a "10 year" but it is also the ring that I adore…. I think I would just like to keep this wedding ring and have it in white gold or plat???
