Can you have a 14kt gold wedding band dipped and made white gold?

My husband has said that he would like to get me a new wedding band for our 10 year anniversary but I really like the ring that I have….although it is gold and I really like white gold or plat. I would like to keep wearing my original ring. Does anyone know if it is possible to have this ring dipped in either white gold or plat??? That way it will be something "new" but also something very dear to my heart…

    White gold is an alloy of gold and other metals. However, it may be possible to dip your ring in Rhodium or plate it with white gold. I suggest you consult a jeweler you trust.
